WHY JOIN A PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION?

Angie Hempel has been a PRSA Nebraska member for nearly a decade. She most recently served on the PRSA Nebraska Board of Directors as 2020 as Monthly Programs Co-Chair, helping to arrange educational and inspirational events for PRSA Nebraska members and guests. In 2020, she was honored by PRSA Nebraska with the Nebraska Chapter Service Award for her outstanding chapter service.

Angie currently serves as the Senior Content Strategist at Omaha-based branding, marketing and public relations firm, Emspace + Lovgren.

In a recent Emspace + Lovgren blog, she highlighted six reasons to link into a professional membership association like PRSA.

“Professional associations are the perfect place to meet your people – these are your peers who understand the challenges you face in your job and understand how significant your victories are. Often without realizing it, they become your professional support system,” Angie writes. “As an agency, we’ve valued being involved with all the local advertising, graphic design, marketing and public relations associations in various ways.
