6 Ways to Give the Gift of Recognition
Have you been impressed with a colleague’s efforts over the past year? Is there a PR or media pro in the community who is making a positive difference? Is there a rookie who is off to a great start in their career?
Now’s the perfect time to recognize them with a nomination for a PRSA Nebraska Chapter Service Award. There are six categories to choose from:
- Professional of the Year – Think about someone who represents the best in public relation, who really stood out and represented their organization in an outstanding way, in 2018-19.
- Special Achievement – A PRSA Nebraska member with outstanding singular achievement.
- Nebraska Chapter Service Award – This is a good one (and one I was honored to receive a couple years ago at the Paper Anvil Awards gala event) and recognizes a PRSA Nebraska member for leadership, exceeding expectations and strengthening the chapter over the last year.
- Community Service Award – What organizations and businesses do you think have made our community better? This award is for them.
- Newcomer of the Year – This is a special award for individuals with between one and three years of experience who have made a significant contribution to the PRSA Nebraska chapter.
- Media Partner of the Year – I bet several names come to mind when you think of media professionals who have helped foster connection and community here in Nebraska.
Giving the gift of recognition is easy – just submit a nomination. Best of all, while it won’t cost you anything, it will mean everything to the award recipients.
