Improve Your Paper Anvil Entries by Volunteering to Judge for Southern PR Federation

It is that time of year again when our chapter performs a valuable service for another PRSA chapter around the country with the judging of their annual professional awards.  

This year we are being called to judge for the Southern PR Federation which includes entries from Alabama, north Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. Their entrants often include educational institutions, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, CVBs, economic development boards and other organizations from across these states.

This service is invaluable because without judges, PRSA chapters would not have the opportunity to celebrate the hard work and professional achievements of PRSA members.

We are looking for 30 volunteers to participate in this year’s judging. Specifically, we need professionals with at least five years of public relations/marketing experience and some categories will require 10 years of experience or APR certification.

Our goal is to find enough volunteers to assign 10-12 entries per judge. From past experience, you can expect to complete roughly two to three entries per hour.

If you want to submit an entry or entries for Nebraska Paper Anvil award this year, volunteer judging is a good chance to experience the judging process so you can optimize your own submissions.

If you want to see what other PRSA professionals are doing with their campaigns, this is a great opportunity to get a look at the landscape of work from another part of the country.

The judging will occur in the month of June.
